The DJI Agras T50 is the most capable agricultural spraying drone available in 2024: 50-liter liquid tank (or 70 kg solid/granular), 24-meter spray width, and efficiency of up to 21.6 hectares per hour. On a single load, the T50 covers more area than a manual operator with a backpack sprayer could manage in an entire day.

Maximum Efficiency Agricultural Drone

The T50's 24-meter effective swath width — the widest available on any agricultural drone in its class — directly translates to fewer flight lines per field and fewer total flight hours per hectare. For large-scale operations where drone fleet utilization is measured in hectares per hour, the T50's operational efficiency reduces cost-per-hectare significantly compared to the T40.

At 21.6 ha/h under optimal conditions (calm wind, flat terrain, standard application rate), a single T50 can cover approximately 150–170 hectares per operational day.

70 kg Granular Payload

The solid spreading system supports 70 kg per load — the highest granular payload available on any Agras drone. For base fertilizer applications and large-area seeding operations, this reduces the number of tank refills required per field significantly.

Active Phased Array Radar

The T50 uses dual active phased array radars (front and rear) for terrain following and obstacle detection. The phased array design provides faster scan rates and more accurate range measurements compared to conventional radar, improving reliability in complex field environments.

For Large-Scale Operations

The T50's economics make sense for large-scale farming operations (1,000+ hectares under management), agricultural application service companies building high-throughput drone fleets, and commodity farming where maximizing application speed directly reduces labor costs.
